LONG STORY SHORT: Call someone else who will give you a better price. This guy is the highest price company in Clayton and won't work with you.
THE LONG STORY
I needed to get ONE side of my yard done today because I have landscapers putting in trees tomorrow. I explained to Mr Gilbert that another guy had surveyed the lot 3 weeks ago and we already had the property lines put in. All I wanted were stakes marked every 15 feet going to those property lines and for someone to double check the work.
He gave me a price of $200! Which I thought was crazy, so I told him I would call him back.
I called 6 other places in Clayton that did surveying and every place told me $75 - $110. When I told two other companies that I needed someone today and that Mr Gilbert charged $200 to come out today they told me that price was WAY to expensive.
I called Mr Gilbert back and told him all the other companies were booked and asked him if he could lower his price to match ANY other company. He said ""No I sure can't sir, I have to write a full report and turn it in so it's $200. So make sure if you get someone else you get a full report""
