Ron from Performing Imports is extremely knowledgeable. I've been bringing my BMW's to him for about ten years now. There have been a couple of stumper issues and he's great at troubleshooting to get to the root cause of the problem. Ron operates on a customer incentive approach, he diagnoses the issue, then gives the customer complete control over which option to choose, as opposed to giving only one option that will cost me ten grand or else my car will explode!
I don't think that he'd be in a position to do that except that he and his entire staff are incredibly knowledgeable. Most knowledgeable about BMW's in the area, which helps them to stay in a uniques position.
Plus, he does quality work. I've never had an issue where I've had to bring my car back to him because I wasn't satisfied with how it was repaired. I highly recommend his shop!
