Review content:
Upon first entering Salon Dacota, I was enthusiastically greeted by a staff member. I told them I would like to make an appointment for color and a cut, and they hurried me into the process. He said I would have a chance to talk to the stylist before she started on my hair. The stylist seemed defensive and rushed through our chat. She almost immediately started putting massive amounts (at least 75 foils) of foils on my head, which went against what we talked about, but I trusted she knew what she was doing. During the process, she didn't want to make conversation, meanwhile every other stylist was talking up a storm with their clients. They have a pretty nice atmosphere, but I felt alienated while I was there. She did a nice job on the color, but it wasn't what I wanted, it was what she wanted. Overall, I am disappointed with the color because it's not what I showed her in the pictures I brought and it's not anything I said I wanted. I'm satisfied with the cut, although she didn't put much effort into it. One nice thing they offer at Salon Dacota is a 25% discount for all new clients on their most expensive service. My overall impression wasn't great and I'll try somewhere else next time.
Pros: Lots of parking, close to home.
Cons: My stylist didn't listen to me.
