Review content:
Gallagher's was recommended by motel staff and based on reviews we were looking forward to a great experience after a day of motorcycle travel.\r \r We arrived around 8:00 and the greeter, without a smile, or emotion of any kind, tossed menus on a table and left.\r \r 5 minutes later a waitress with the same lack of affectation asked if we wanted something to drink. We ordered water, a couple premium beers, and a crab cake for starters. \r \r The super-preminum import beer we ordered came in 12 oz bottles and not the 16.9 oz size as advertised on the menu and though the brewer was the same, it was a different beer. The waitress and manager refused to make any sort of accomodation -- either reduce the price or let us select a different beer. One would think an establishment that holds out its beer list as prominently as they do would be sensitive to those matters.\r \r The crab cake we ordered was very good and we were long finished with it before the waitress came back to, somewhat rudely, ask if we wanted something else.\r \r My dinner, ribs, did not come with a vegetable as advertised and was just OK. They were doused in Sweet Baby Ray's sauce that I had to scrap off to even see the meat. The mashed potatoes were pasty but OK.\r \r Laurie had the manicotti which again was just OK. The red sauce was highly acidic and would have benefitted from a little brown sugar being added to it.\r \r Part of the dining out experience for Laurie and I is engaging with our server and when she plopped down the plates of food and muttered a comment that she'd rather be bar-tending, the reason for her lack of serving skill and demeanor became obvious.\r \r As long as your expectations aren't too high, Gallagher's is OK though a burger sided with a mainstream brew might be their forte...\r \r Pros: Open late for dinner; wide-ranging menu Cons: Perfunctory staff
