Review content:
Called Rivers by the Sea inquiring about renting a property over the Thanksgiving Holiday and they sent me a few options. I saw one that looked pretty good so I asked about what the price would be for 3 days. We agreed on a price and then they told me I could get in as early as Monday and stay a full seven days. I asked them to send me a contract with the complete details. The rate they quoted was way above what we talked about for the three day stay so we decided not to use this property. We signed no contract nor payed any deposit. The Sunday before Thanksgiving I get a call from them asking if I was still coming. I was a bit confused and thought it was the other company that we did use so I told her a would call her right back. After confirming it was not the company we were in fact using we sent an email telling them we were not using their property. They then responded and said we were responsible for a $250.00 cancellation fee and asked how we would like to pay that! Disgusting. I sent them a return email explaining we never signed the contract by the specified date or put down any deposit and therefore are not responsible for any cancellation fee. They disagreed saying they had in fact held that property for us. I would not deal witht his company again!!
