Review content:
I have never been more offended, disappointed and enraged by what this jeweler put my husband and I through. My husband bought me a beautiful engagement ring, wedding band and stone from Zachary's. Initially we were both very happy with the product. Little did we know, they actually ruined both rings and the stone and were lying to us about it from the beginning! First they set my stone in a setting that was too small for the stone, therefore causing the stone to scratch everywhere that it was in contact with the ring. The prongs that held the stone were stretched beyond their capacity, which actually caused my stone to fall out! I had taken the ring in at least 5 times for cleaning and inspection and they had a different excuse for the stone to be loose every time. I knew something was seriously wrong with the rings, so I sent it in to the manufacturer myself and come to find out that they set the stone incorrectly which caused it to fall out, they sized the ring down beyond the manufacturers allowable limits and to top it off they effectively voided my warranty with the manufacturer without my permission and without my knowledge. I contacted the store manager thinking they would want to redeem themselves for all the mistakes they made and have the ring fixed, but he blew me off for weeks and then finally stated that I couldn't prove they screwed up the ring, so they weren't going to pay for it. I am appalled by their deception and their refusal to accept responsibility for such egregious errors. DO NOT be fooled by kind sales associates, because once they make a sale they wash their hands of you.
