I'm conservative. I freak out if people say ""bad"" things. I sat and laughed through comedians making fun of women, abortion, African Americans, ect despite the fact it made me very uncomfortable. It's a bad excuse but I was drinking a few beers and tried to be an active audience member. A friend of mine was fairly vocal but not what I considered offensive (and like I said, I'm one of those conservative types.) We were asked to leave and I felt like we were harassed. It was surprising, offensive and humiliating all at the same time. The waitress actually reached out and grabbed my friend?s chin, without any initial physical contact from my friend. I will NEVER return there, even though I can try to enjoy a good joke..... And I'm sorry, on open mike night some of the comedians are not good, yet I tried to yell out and clap for them to be encouraging (...being a conservative and wanting to be a people pleaser). But alas, maybe one or two of them complained about our responses.... but if they were really good comedians couldn't they respond and move on from our howling?????
