Review content:
The only positive thing that I can say about my experience at Cracker Barrel, was that there was a charming fireplace with a roaring fire, casting warmth and comfort into the dining room. Unfortunately, we never did get to eat a meal. My daughter and I were beginning a special ""Mother-Daughter Day Out"" by having breakfast at Cracker Barrel. We arrived at approximately 9:45. While the restaurant was busy, there was no wait for a table. After being seated, we waited 25 minutes before a waitress came to our table to welcome us. We hadn't been offered drinks. She apologized, saying that she'd ""overlooked us"" and didn't realize she had patrons at this table. Unfortunately, the hostess, manager, and other waiters did not seem to notice that we were not being helped. In fact, although there seemed to be a plentitude of staff milling about in the store's gift shop, I noticed other parties having difficulty finding their waitresses as well--finally having to flag down a bus boy at one point to get attention. Our waitress brought us our juices--and then the wait was on! We waited for another 25 minutes when I realized that in the dining room, hardly anyone had food. We had been at the restaurant for a long time...and people who'd been seated well before us still didn't have their orders. Of course, I could not find a waitress anywhere to tell her we were leaving, so I went up to the counter and told them I wanted to pay for the two juices. Unfortunately, pandemonium insued--people calling out to each other for help--no one seemed able to locate my waitress or figure out where I'd been seated or what to do. After 10 minutes, I was finally able to pay for the juices. My daughter and I left Cracker Barrel feeling quite neglected and uncared for. Perhaps Cracker Barrel caters to the travelers on I-35 and feels no need to develop a relationship with local people. I do not recommend dining at Cracker Barrel.
Cons: Poor service
