Review content:
Took my bike in for brake issues and carb cleaning. Carb didn't have an airbox so gave him airfilter pods for the bike. Was rude from the moment I dropped off the bike and wouldn't be able to start work on it for 2 weeks. When I picked up the bike, he told me that the airfilter pods were just set in place and would vibrate off within a few miles. I had to drive over to an auto parts store and buy clamps to put on the filters. Not a big deal but since the auto parts store was just 3 blocks from the shop (he told me where it was) and only cost a few dollars, it was apparent to me that he didn't even try to put the filters on correctly.\r
\r
In addition, while he did diagnose the brake problem correctly (wrong type of master cylinder), he didn't try to fix it. And when I asked him where I could find a master cylinder to fix it myself, he shrugged and suggested a junkyard.\r
\r
Lastly, he qouted me $200.00-$250.00 and when I talked to him after he had the bike 2 weeks, he said it should still be between $200.00 and 250.00. However, when I picked it up, it was $450.00.\r
\r
My brother drove me there to pick up the bike and even though he only met the mechanic for a few minutes, the first thing he said as we were getting ready to leave was that the guy was rude.\r
\r
I will never take my bikes there again and have since found a much better mechanic.\r
\r
btw, I later fixed the brakes myself. Took about 20 minutes.
Pros: nice store, seemed knowledgable
Cons: everything else, rude, sloppy
