Review content:
Hi, my name is Linda. I have been going to D’Addario’s Auto Service for about 12 years and it’s my pleasure to write this review. They are wonderful people and outstanding mechanics. I would like to tell the story of how I came to their garage…desperate to have someone figure out what was wrong with my car. I had a Hyundai Exel standard transmission. When I would pull out into traffic, the car didn’t want to go until I got up to 3rd gear, then it was fine. Pretty scary when your car doesn’t want to go and there’s a bunch of cars coming up behind you! Anyway, I took the car to about 5 different places. A transmission place and they said it wasn’t the transmission, took it to a garage they looked and said they couldn’t see anything but to drive it till it broke and they would fix it. (I’m not kidding.) I took it to a foreign place but along with car dealers, I couldn’t afford them. I took the car to another garage that advertised in the Friendly Shopper. They did a tune up, fuel filter, checked the gas lines and said that was the best they could do. Still won’t go till 3rd gear! My boss at the time heard about what I was going thru. He told me about D’Addario’s and said if anyone can figure it out, they can. So I went to see them. I talked to Joe (father) and Curt (son) and explained what was going on with my car. Curt walks out, lifts the hood, looks around for about 30 seconds and says “there’s your problem!” The air hose was ripped!!! I looked at him astounded and said, “you have a customer for life!” How nobody saw that is beyond belief but I thank my lucky stars because it brought me to them. The boys are honest and trustworthy. Another quick story, The car was running kind of bad so I told Joe I wanted a tune up. He called me later and said “Linda, you don’t need a tune up. What is the car doing?” I told him and it ended up being a problem with the throttle. I know and you know many places would have charged for the tune up as well as charging for the throttle problem. I could go on and on. I love the boys. I trust them explicitly and trust is very important to me when it comes to fixing my car. I would never go anywhere else! I do write this under some protest because it will bring them more business, and they might not be able to squeeze me in like they always do...but that’s ok. They’re worth it. So here it is. Do a smart thing and learn from my experience. Take your car to D’Addario’s, because Curt always knows and they won’t take your clothes. (You know what I mean!) Sincerely, Linda Cafro
