This cute little place started out as a simple coffee and pastry shop. Then closed and reopened a few months later as a full service breakfast joint! The few times I went they were still trying to figure everything out. Family run place with teens as waitresses and mom or aunt (I think) in the kitchen, so service was uneven, but they were getting the hang of it. Made me wait 15 minutes to appear with an espresso I ordered, but felt bad about it and gave me some free pastries! Breakfast food looks good and well prepared. Their brunch dishes are moderately expensive, and a bit fancy, it is NOT a cheap place (try Bertie Lou's up the street for that), but is good. It's been ahwile since I've been in there so they probably have it all figured out by now. Try it! South 17th St is having quite the little revival!
