I love this place and have yet to have anything off the menu that wasn't fantastic. Their sausage, biscuits and gravy and the rest of their breakfast fare put Besaw's to shame. Never again will I wait in a 20+ min line for breakfast when I can come down the street and eat here.
For lunch and dinner, they have the best chicken pie. The hot wings--made with smoked chicken wings--are the best I've had in Portland and in my top 3 ever (which is saying something). Not fatty at all--just flavor. Even better with the house-made bleu cheese dressing. Burgers are tasty, too.
All of the meats are locally sourced as well and you can tell when you eat them!
If you're looking for a tasty meal in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place. Definitely an oasis from the sometimes uppity ambiance of 23rd.
