I would highly recommend that anyone visiting the Cape Girardeau area visit the Edward Bernard Gallery! In fact, if you love art, I recommend driving to Cape Girardeau for the sole purpose of seeing this gallery. It is, by far, one of the most beautiful galleries I've visited. Furthermore, the service is exceptional. Peg MacDougall, the gallery owner, is extremely hospitable and offers a warm and inviting atmosphere and competitive pricing for those appreciating fine art. Her gallery hosts original art by very talented artists from around the country. While the main focus is art glass sculptures, she also has beautiful home decor, functional art glass and original wall art.
