Review content:
I'm sorry to report that I had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience at this club. The actual clubhouse is run down and smells dank and musty, and the whole place has this worn-out feel to it. I also found the staff to be demeaning and rude, and they were completely unhelpful when it came to getting setup to begin our game. That's not the worst of it however. The worst part was when we were playing the 9th hole, and this guy comes out and tells us that they are kicking us off the course because we were ""too slow"". Now, to be fair, me and my friends are fairly new to the game, and I'll admit that we may be a little slow. However, we had let three groups behind us play through, and we'd also skipped 2 entire holes in order to keep up with the group ahead of us. At this point in time, the group behind us is nowhere to be seen, and we were easily keeping pace with the group ahead. So, this guy comes out and tells us they will ""give us a full refund"" for ending our game prematurely, if we would just follow him. He was originally very apologetic and said that it was just a speed issue, and that if we just followed him he'd be able to refund us in full. That sounded fair enough, so we followed him back to the club. Once we got back to the pro shop however, Greg Amescua (the manager there) claimed he ""didn't owe us anything"" for kicking us off the course, and refused to honor the refund we'd just been offered. Essentially, this place took our money, and then failed to deliver on the services we'd purchased. Last I checked, that's tantamount to theft. I naturally expressed my outrage at having just been ripped off, and rather than acting apologetic this Greg Amescua guy starts getting all agitated, as if I were the one inconveniencing him! Greg Amescua was INCREDIBLY RUDE, confrontational and belligerent. Never in my life have I seen such a poor representation of customer service, and at a country club no less. Needless to say, I will never be returning to this place, and I will be advising anyone who doesn't enjoy this kind of abuse to do the same. In summary: 1. The actual clubhouse is of very poor quality. It's dirty and smells terrible. Not the kind of place I'd like to spend much time in. 2. The staff (at least those at the pro shop) are rude and totally unhelpful. I've had better customer service at most fast food joints. 3. The general manager of the place (Greg Amescua) is a belligerent, confrontational thief, who took our money and then failed to deliver on the services he sold us.
