Unfortunately, we did not know anybody when we moved to Manhattan so no one could warn us about Alliance. They seem really nice at first and act very compliant, but don't buy it! Our house is in extremely poor shape even though the picture they have on their website, the house looks great. They bugged me for about 3 months to get renter's insurance, which made me very suspicious. They charged us a $90 late fee because we paid our rent January 2nd since they were closed January 1st for the holiday. Then they tell us they are showing our house to new tenants in January...but our lease isn't up until August! They showed our house on a Saturday afternoon and on Monday at 5:30 during dinner. So rude. Then when we got mice (which was expected since the house is 80 years old), I asked them to set mouse traps. Which they did. Then charged me $46.00! $8.00 for materials and $38.00 for ""labor""! Had I realized tenants were in charge of pest management, I would've set the traps myself and saved $41.00. I'm extremely nervous to see what they'll charge us when we move out. Alliance has caused me so much stress and anxiety. Seriously, take my advise and rent from somewhere else. I only gave them one star because it wouldn't let me continue without doing it. They deserve negative stars.
