I have been going to caring hands animal hospital for almost three years now since ive moved to lake city. The staff is usually really nice but i will never take my pets back there again!!! I made my appointment over the phone and asked the lady what my two dogs were due for and told her i only wanted to get there shots and two flea pills due to not having enough money right now for everything else. I was informed that was just fine and scheduled my appointment. When the male doctor was done giving my two babies there shots I also informed him that I needed flea pills for them mainly for my lil girl cause she gets skin irritation and has developed bad sores on her back cause of the fleas. As I went to pay my bill i was informed my bill was over two hundred dollars. When i asked the lady how it got so high she showed me the bill and there were charges on my bill that I did not schedule my pets to be seen for. I explained to her that i was upset cause i didnt have the money to cover the bill because of all this excess stuff they added when i specifically told the lady to only schedule my pets for just their shots. The lady and dr leslie both really upset me. I was told inorder for my pets to recieve their shots i had to pay for the other stuff and that they were sorry the lady who scheduled my appt didnt inform me that i would have to pay for the other stuff nor did she inform me that their prices went up. What really put the icing on the cake was when the lady told me their was nothing she could do but say sorry and that i had to pay half the bill right then before i left and that they will take back the flea pills because i didnt have the full amount KNOWING that my female dog really needed the pill cause of her developing of sores.. I left that place crying and upset that my loved ones and I were treated like that. Ive already relocated to a different vet..
