There are so many problems with Kayaks, I don't even know where to start. I was an employee there, and I know the management is pathetic. There are no cleanliness standards, and I wouldn't be surprised if you tasted bleach in your coffee drink. The workers preparing food rarely wore gloves or washed their hands. Kayaks charges Starbucks prices for much lower quality beverages. There were insect problems when I worked there. Many people come into Kayaks and don't make any purchases. Instead, they just fill up all the space in the seating area and lounge for hours. The employees clean the bathroom about once a day, so there would always be toilet paper and mess all over the floors in the bathrooms. I never once saw the owner come into the place when I worked there. None of the baristas were ever trained properly on how to make drinks. I was taught to ""make it the way you would like it."" The coffee they brew sits there for hours, so you'll likely get a stale, burnt tasting cup of coffee. Overall, I would say it's a good place to sit around and waste time, but I would not recommend eating or drinking anything from this dirty coffee shack.
