Take your hard earned money and go somewhere you will be appreciated. This place has a nice decor but beyond that its a dump! Came in at 8pm on a Wed, no reservations, was seated within 5 mins at a preferred table (good start). Ordered dozen oysters and chardonnay, fried calamari and branzino. 15 mins later, got oysters and wine but wine was warm so had to eat oysters with no wine will the bottle ""chilled"". 5 mins in, Fire alarm goes off, loud screech that was giving my gf a head ache. Half the people in the side room just left bc of nose, smoke smell and fear of fire. We along with a bday celebration beside us decided to stay. Then came the fire trucks and caused a commotion in the restaurant, we stayed. Anything from the manager to the guests? NO! Comp drinks? NO! comp appetizer? NO! ok how bout simple ""Im sorry about the noise""? NOOOO! well at least not to us or the party next to us since we were younger but i think the middle aged party of four got an apology, go figure. Ok so another 25 mins go by, finally our waiter appears whos been MIA the whole time, wine is chilled, but still no calamari. Ok order another doz oysters. He brings 10 oysters and insists its a dozen, after i count it for him like for a 4 year old, he acknowledges the issue and brings 2 more (bet he wont make that mistake on the check by charging 10 instead of 12). Squash those... still nothing. The bday party that came in when we were on our first oyster dozen was already getting apps. Our waiter was nowhere to be found. Asked other waiter to call manager. Manager apologized, said theres a large party in the back and our order is coming now. Im sorry, but thats not acceptable! I shouldnt have to wait 80 min for fried calamari, party or no party. Calamari landed on the table at 9:37.... small portion but tasty. The waiter now made an appearance again, when i told him about the delay he apologized. Now the wait was on for the branzino.... We asked for check at 10:48 and for another dozen oysters to go for someone we were meeting after. They brought us a tray of baklava, lucky we looked in it before leaving. When we informed them that it wasnt oysters, they went and got oysters immediately. Oysters came with no ice, they will go bad in 10 mins. WHO DOES THAT?! I asked for ice and as the bus boy was going into the kitchen, I heard someone yell, ""whats wrong with it now?"". Same thing thats been wrong all night, waiter cant get his head out of his ass. Got the bill, not one thing was comped throughout this unpleasant experience when most people dashed during the fire alarm. I know the restaurant business, i worked down the street at the pearl room 10 years ago and basically what i saw was 0 customer appreciation, service or value. I still left the waiter 13% tip, again as being from that industry, i didnt have the heart to leave less or even nothing. When we finally left, 11pm+, there was no ""have a good night""... no ""hope you had a good meal"", walked right by the manager up front and he pretended he didnt even see us. See thats what you get for not complaining. Im sure the people that raised a stink throughout the restaurant during the fire alarm were comped for something. Moral of the story: go somewhere else, somewhere where your business will be welcome and you spending your hard earned dollar will be appreciated. This review is real, true and honest. Should anyone have questions (including manager or owner) you can email me at zohanchic@hotmailcom although i doubt it will be up here long once management get wind of it. P.S. If this review is not on their websites guestbook that means they deleted it so imagine how many more negative reviews you dont see.
