Review content:
While the view and accommodations may be lovely the management staff needs a serious attitude adjustment. I have waited to write a review until I was no longer mad because I wanted to convey my experience without strong emotions. I know when I go to a place to stay that I want to know not only that I am getting a great experience but so is the staff. Unfortunately being an employee at The Allison is not quite what you expect. Growing up in this town I know that the Austins have donated a lot of time and money to the community. I also know that they treat their employees at A-Dec VERY well. I figured this would be the same for The Allison. Everyday I came to work on time, with a smile on my face, in the appropriate uniform and I NEVER called in sick and yet some how that was not good enough. Plain and simple they harassed me. Every time I made the slightest error an example of an error would be to say I believe or yeah instead of yes on the phone. My manager would come out of her office and tell me every word I said incorrectly. I understand the need for sounding professional but I also know that when I call someone I want them to sound like a real person. Other things that caught my eye. The management team and other employees don't like the town. I will quote ""it's a gorgeous facility why they put it in this shitty little town, I don't know."" I know I am not the only one who has had problems with the management staff and I am not the only one who feels there needs to be a serious revamp of staff. I think the Austins would like to know something of this nature is taking place and I intend to write them a letter stating so. Also to give myself some credibility. I worked for one company before The Allison for 5 years and have never been fired from a job until this one. Think twice before applying for a job here and make sure that your money is being spent at the right hotel.
