Review content:
In total agreement of the comments regarding how this company treats their staff. While I have not worked there, I have been a guest in all areas of the property on many occasions and also know several people who have been employed by this company. Yes, it is a gorgeous property, the Austins did right by that. But where it is lacking is in the management. The staff work harder than anyone and are treated as though they are amateurs. On several occasions I have overheard management talking down to staff and belittling them IN FRONT of guests. In my mind, this is completely unprofessional. If you feel your staff is not up to par, which does not describe the staff of this hotel, do not repremand them in front of guests. There are constantly new faces in the staff, which I have been told can be contributed to their high turn over rate. If I was the owner of this property I would strongly consider looking at who I've placed in the upper management positions. Just because someones resume shows they have experience else where doesn't mean they make a good manager. This is small town we're talking about and word travels fast. Word on the street is, don't work for the Allison.
