Review content:
Going to the Silverlake Art, Craft and Vintage Market is one of my favorite weekend activities. It really has something for everyone, whether you are a member of the local community, an artist, crafter, into collecting stuff or just want to see and be seen. It's perfect if you are looking for a special gift or unique clothing item or just something fun and laid back to do on the 2nd Saturday of each month. It's centrally located so there's lots to do at the market and around the neighborhood. It's fun just to hang out with the throngs of people who go but the real draw are the maybe 100 vendors who come to sell and schmooze. You can find all kinds of good stuff like art, do-it-yourself crafts, vintage and handmade clothing, antiques, collectibles, records, toys, jewelry, etc. Come hungry, too, because there are always several of LA's popular gourmet food trucks to choose from. I've been so inspired by the many varied goods and services I've come across here, that I'm thinking of getting my own booth. Not sure what to sell yet but spaces are so reasonably priced, and the energy is so great, that I'm really excited about it. See you there...every second Saturday from 10am to 4pm at 1511 Micheltorena, north of Sunset.
