It seems that someone has decided to bring the ever-packed Monk's to No Libs, a good idea. While I didn't have a beer or eat dinner, I went for brunch with my girlfriend. She was sold on the strawberry pancakes. They were suprisingly good. I got a simple two eggs with sausage, homefries, and toast which was also good. What I did not expect was a meal that size for $5!! The food was very good and the waitstaff friendly. I ate here when it was Palette and did not return, I would certainly return to this one. As for animals in the bar, it really doesn't bother me. I recently returned for dinner and another brunch. Dinner was good (sandwiches) and the chili may well be philly's best. At brunch however, my girlfriend's meal was excellent while mine was subpar and the service was slow. Pros: animals in bar, chili Cons: inconsistent service
