Businiess name:  Loie
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
Despite the burgeoning crowd of trendoids steadily filling the front bar, Loie manages to provide fantastic bistro fare for relatively reasonable prices in charming though spartan decor. My lover and I went with the intention of eating prix fixe for restaurant week, but instead decided to order from the regular menu. The seared Atlantic salmon was fantastic and fresh, served on a bed of succulently tasty lentils and asparagus, and garnished with three good, if bland, clams on the shell. My lover had the lentil and walnut burger, which was very good, if also a bit bland (can no restaurant put more effort into vegetarian entrees?). Our appetizer, mushroom risotto beignets, was a taste explosion of goodness; unfortunately, the apple tart tatin dessert was exceedingly disappointing. For the quality of food (except dessert), Loie is more than worth the price and the hassle of post-frat business jocks blocking the doorways. Pros: Tasty, Reasonable prices, Excellent service Cons: , Scenesters, Poor desserts
