Awful experience today. Usually, its not that bad. You wait 10-15 minutes to make it through the register; your items are scanned; you pay; then your receipt gets checked at the door on your way out. Problem, what happens when after a gruelingly painful count of your items there is one more item in your cart than on your receipt. The receipt checker tells you to go back! When you look back you see the barrage of traffic coming your way and your B+ starts to boil a little over a $4.00 bag of mini-bell cheese-balls. I start to complain. Why can't we take care of that right here? It wasn't my mistake; but I'm willing to pay, so why don't you have a system in place to let me pay right here when your checkout process misses one. The manager is involved now. I'd say his name, but I'm not positive I'd give the right one. He was maybe 6'1"" to 6'3"", white, with short brown hair and a ear ring. He says, ""Well, you're not obligated to buy anything!"" Case solved. Of course, he said more, but that's what I honed in on. Now, I'm just hot! I thought of dropping my membership right there, but it expires in November, so I think I just won't renew. Costco does have some excellent employees, but if that's really the management's attitude, I'm definitely not obligated to frequent their business. Fortunately, we've had a Walmart open nearby, and they carry much of the same stuff anyway. Pros: Good vegetables, Decent Food Selection, Pharmacy Cons: Manager's Customer Skills, Long Lines, Inefficient Checkout.
