Review content:
My family has been in three Lafayette weddings in the past few years and this was the first time we've ever used Acadiana Tux & Limo. To say our experience was a huge disappointment is an understatement. They are overpriced and the quality is substandard. Two tuxedos lost buttons on the jackets before the wedding even began. Before the wedding, when I called to ask them how my husband and two boys should get measured (we live in Houston), they directed us to find a tux shop that carried Jim's Formal Wear in our area. We did so and faxed over the measurements. When my husband and boys went to pick up their tuxedos on the day of the wedding, both sons' tuxedos did not fit. Their sleeves hung out of the jackets by at least 4 inches and our older son's pants were enormous. To their credit, Acadiana Tux & Limo tried to rectify the pants situation but when I called to get an explanation for the shirt sleeves I was rudely told that this was ""normal for boys' tuxedos"". No. No, it's not. We've never had fit issues for our boys before and even if we did, I am certain that Mary Ellen's would have fixed the situation. When you are charging $150 for a tuxedo rental, it should fit well, even if it's for an 8 or 10-year-old boy. We have had several really good experiences with Mary Ellen's (their tuxedos fit beautifully - even the smaller varieties - and they are reasonably priced) and their customer service is phenomenal. Mr. Randy Foreman and staff are easy to work with and aim to please. Save yourself the headache and head to Mary Ellen's first.
