I'm very disappointed in the service of Country Homes Power Equipment. \r \r I purchased a new Stihl chainsaw Farm Boss in the Summer of 2008. At that time they offer a package to purchase a spare chain and 3 tuneups for roughly the price of a new chain. It seems like an easy decision. The catch is that you have to do the tuneups during their slow time in January and Febrary. I still agreed.\r I cut about 5 cord of wood and the saw was everything I hoped for.\r \r February came around and I had to use my 1st tuneup coupon. Eventhough the saw probably didn't need anything, I brought it in anyway.\r \r In September go to cut wood again and I drain out the fuel with stabilizer and put new fuel and oil with stabilizer like stihl recommends, and start the saw. I limb a down tree and can't get through the first cut before it stalls. It stalls when you give it any gas. I check the air filter chain tension and everything one usually does when this happens before I feel its a plugged jet or carb issue. I was frustraded so I got my old echo chainsaw out filled it with gas and finished the day.\r \r I called the service department at the northside and they said to bring it in. When its done the clerk said $80.00. I explained what happened and he told me that it was old bad gas and that is not warrenty. I told them this was the 1st use since I got it back from a tuneup. They didn't care. I said it dosen't seem fair that if it comes back from Country Homes from a tuneup, it should run even if it was 6 months. He dissagreed. He said I should drain the gas every month and run it for 5 minutes with new gas and that gas can go bad in a month. He also told be that Stihl was behind in technology because the carb jets are getting smaller and gas is getting worse and it happens.\r \r He really didn't talk good about Stihl for being a Stihl Dealer. I said why would I come back as a repeat customer and he said that this is the best he can do. I said full price was the best he could do to keep a customer and he said yes.\r \r My first thought is that the FREE tuneup they give you January really makes you PAY for a tuneup in the fall.\r \r I will drive to Post Falls Idaho to get all my Stihl chainsaw needs and not recommed Country Homes to anybody Pros: They are a Stihl Dealer Cons: They Don't Stand Behind Their Service
