Boscos Leads the No-Smoking Charge in Tennessee\r

Restaurant Announces Weeklong ?Trash Your Ashtray? Fundraising Promotion \r
in Nashville to Kick Off Its Ban on Smoking\r
\r
Governor Phil Bredesen signed the ?Non-Smoker Protection Act,? banning smoking in the majority of public places in Tennessee, including restaurants and bars. The law will go into effect on Monday, October 1, 2007.\r
\r
However, Tennessee-based Boscos, which operates successful eateries / brewpubs in Nashville and Memphis, will formally eliminate smoking inside its restaurants more than two months earlier, beginning Monday, July 16. \r
\r
To kick off its smoking ban, Boscos will sponsor a weeklong promotion (July 16 - July 22) at both locations called ?Trash Your Ashtray,? whereby the company will donate one dollar to the American Lung Association of Tennessee for every ashtray that customers drop off at either of the two locations. Participants will be required to present the ashtrays either to the manager, host / hostess, waiter / waitress or bartender. (Limit one ashtray per customer.) Each restaurant will have a prominent ?Trash Your Ashtray? receptacle to collect the donations.\r
\r
In addition, the weeklong event also will include an award for the most unique / creative ashtray brought to each restaurant. The two winners will receive $100 Boscos gift certificates. \r
\r
To ensure that the fundraising component gets off to a solid start, Boscos will ?trash? all of the ashtrays currently in use at its restaurants, and guarantee a minimum donation of $1,000 to the American Lung Association of Tennessee.\r
\r
For more information on the promotion, please contact:\r
