Review content:
My husband surprised me with an anniversary celebration at Sunrise. He knows that I love animals, and he wanted to try something new. I was a little wary, since I usually feel sad visiting zoos and such places where animals are caged and sad. This was not the case here. The animals are well cared for, and have hundreds of acres to roam. In cages are the primates, and they seem to be treated as part of a family. They have outdoor areas with plenty of enrichment, and a climate controlled sleeping area. The chimps (retired from the circus) have their own TV's. The park is immaculately clean and well-maintained. The rooms are very artfully decorated and comfortable. Try the treehouse suite. You'll wake up to have breakfast at eye level with the giraffes. Call ahead to get a response. They take a little while to get back to you. Pros: wonderful animals, cool rooms, beautiful scenery Cons: hard to contact
