Review content:
I was a subscriber to Odyssey Cable for a little over a year, and after switching to Time Warner Cable I'm glad I did. There were many factors that influenced my decision to switch. First, the picture quality is much better with Time Warner compared to Odyssey. The channels do not cut out and come in 100% of the time, as was not the case with Odyssey. The one thing (and probably the only thing) that I did like about Odyssey Cable was their price. $38.95 a month for cable was not too bad as far as I was concerned. Second, their customer service is probably the WORST that I have ever encountered doing business with any company. They hardly ever answer their phone, and dont bother waiting for them to call you back if you leave a message. Third, I found Odyssey to be a very unethical company. When I had first subscribed, I did not receive my first month's bill in the mail and was charged a late fee. I called (about 10 times before I got to talk to someone) to voiced my concern and was told that it was my responsibility to call them if I did not receive my bill through the mail. The owner actually placed the blame on the U.S. Postal Office rather than take responsibility. Then there was the case when I decided to switch. I had paid for a months worth of cable and never received my service due to it was being switched. I was unaware that my cable was being switched over when it did (I live in an apartment), and as such called Odyssey to inquire about a refund. Well, needless to say I've called and spoke with the manager and the secretary well over a dozen times and was informed that I was due a refund and that it would be out in the mail very soon. This was 2 months ago. I still have not received a refund and quite frankly I probably won't. This to me just proves the dishonesty and unethical management of Odyssey Cable. I urge anyone who is looking for a Cable provider to stay away from this company, as I do not wish the stress they have caused me on anyone.
Pros: Price was competitive
Cons: Poor Customer Service/Poor Quality Company
