This was my first time to ever use a moving company - every move prior to this consisted of myself, a couple of friends / family members, and a U-Haul truck. While I admit that I was a bit hesitant at first to ""lose control"" of all of my belongings, my movers instantly assured me that my belongings would be treated as if they were their own. My move was scheduled for 8:00a on January 21st; they called me at 7:30a on January 21st to ask a few questions to ensure they had the proper equipment and to let me know that they would see me in about 30 minutes. They knocked on my door almost exactly 30 minutes later, ready to move my belongings out of my old place. While they ""sized up"" all of my belongings, Don went over the paperwork with me. Once I signed off on the paperwork, they immediately went right to work. Like a well-oiled machine, they moved all of my belongings out of my apartment and into their truck, which took about 45 minutes. When their truck was loaded up, we headed on over to my new apartment. They transferred my belongings from their truck into my new apartment with the same quickness as they loaded the truck. Actually, the unloading took a little less time than the loading did; they completely unloaded the truck, had my final sign-off on the paperwork, and were headed for their next job within a span of about 40 minutes. All in all, I was rather impressed with them and Starving Students as a whole. Would I personally use them in the future? Definitely. Would I recommend them to a friend, family member, or co-worker who was needing to find a reliable moving company? Without a doubt.
