Review content:
I'd heard a lot about the ""traditional"" pizza places in Manhattan, (e.g. Lombardi's), but after trying them out, I got the feeling they are alive purely on reputation and hype. The pizzas were soggy, expensive, and there wasn't a helluva lot to choose from. Personally, I don't enjoy eating pizza with some tomato sauce and 2 toppings. I like variety and don't think pepperoni everyitme I think pizza. Hence, CPK is perfect! Everything I've eaten here has been refreshingly different, and also very easy on the palate. In particular their Japanese eggplant pizza with goat cheese is a winner. I stay away from the salad pizzas (whats the point?) but the regular sounding pizzas have never disappointed me. They also have Heineken on tap and thats definitely a big plus. And yea, do NOT be tempted by the pizza place right opposite this one because I've made that mistake before and CPK IS BETTER!
Pros: Variety, Great taste, Fairly quick
Cons: Shuts down at 10 p.m. on weekdays
