I agree that Dr. Iahikawa isn't warm and fuzzy. She also leaves much not said. I broke my ankle then was sent to Campbell's clinic and to Dr. Ishikawa. She scared the crap out of me! She told me that I had to have surgery and worst of outcomes was that I lose my foot! I didn't, but spent 31/2 monts. non weight bearing. on several visits she never went over the x-rays with me. She didn't give me a game plan and I just went from visit to visit not really knowing what was going on. I try to write my questions down before a Drs. visit, but with this my main question was how was my ankle healing. Then I was left feeling that I was an annoying patient and ""we will just move forward"", ""your ankle is collapsing, we expected that"" I didn't expect it. now, 7 months later I'm left with a collapsed ankle, arthritis, and a malpositioned joint.I was told by another Dr. that I needed salvage surgery, either an ankle replacement or fusion. I'm frustrated, scared and walk like a zombie-just lurching along with no knowledge of what to expect. I feel like I need a second set of eyes and a translator that tells me what is going on, if my ankle will ever get better. Campbell's is the best in this area. I don't know if she was in over her head or what happened. I'm glad I have a foot, just wish it worked. the girl in the cast room is a jewel. Her assistant, Amy, kind and helpful. This condition has affected my left sided joints due to overcompensation. So now in addition to a really bad ankle, My knees, lt hip, and lower back are in constant pain. Sorry so long, am extremely frustrated!
