Review content:
We went out to dinner with friends on a Saturday night and found it to be an outstanding experience. We were seated in a somewhat secluded room and the ambience was perfect for conversation. The service was superb--perfectly timed and not the least intrusive. The wine connoisseur in our group was very pleased with the wine list. The food was excellent--very artfully presented and prepared perfectly. We all felt the portions were very generous and that the prices were appropriate. I got one of the house specialties; the black cod. It was delicious--served with tender, buttered leeks, button mushrooms and a poached egg. I felt the combination of flavors was complmentary and unusual. We also enjoyed a sampling of side dishes and the green beans were a favorite, prepared with Szcheuan spices. The rest of our party enjoyed their meals too, and the vegetarian among us was well accommodated. For dessert, I had the pumpkin ice cream, which was delicious and just the perfect amount. We like to visit Twin Cities restaurants every couple of months with these friends, and we all agreed that Mission American was one of the better ones. Pros: Ambience, Creative meal preparation, service
