Review content:
I dropped my car off at Mufflers & More on December 1st, 2010. When I dropped it off I explained to them what all I needed in service which included; parking lights, taillights/ brakelights that were not coming on and my four wheel drive was not engaging. They then told me the job can be done and the cost for the repairs would be $175. I was told the car would be ready that Friday. Friday rolled around and my car was still not fixed, said to call them by 4 the following day. Nonetheless,Saturday came and then Monday, then Tuesday and so forth came and went and it was not until Monday December 13th when I was finally told my car was ready to be picked up. I came during my lunch hour and paid them the $175.00 and left assuming my car was fixed in only to return it that same evening realizing the problem was not fixed. My brakelights and taillights were still not on. I brought the car back to them, pointed out the problem and at that point was told the socket was most likely coroded and that it will be fixed the following day by 9 a.m.. I called Tuesday, 12/14/2010, at 5:15 p.m. since they had not called me to tell me it was done. Little did I not know they still had not gotten to it. My girlfriend had passed Mufflers and More around the same time and noticed they were just getting the car pulled into the garage. Thirty minutes later and fifteen minutes prior to them closing I received the phone call that it was ready. My girlfriend and I went to pick it up, drove to the back of the shop to make sure it was working (since obviously these so-called mechanics don't check their work after claiming its fixed), and not even five minutes later, brake/ tail lights were out again. At this point I drove the car back in the lot and was told by Scott ( the owner), ""Well this is an old Blazer and things are bound to go out. If I knew it was going to entitle this much work with the wiring I would have charged you $5-600 to have it fixed. You should just take it to Eslers Body shop down the road,"" he exclaimed. Now I gave them the check for $175.00 and thats what they quoted me, and when I pay someone for a job I expect them to do their job!! I was told once again they will have this fixed for me by tomorrow. Jokingly I asked him if it was going to take another 3 weeks. I was called on Wednesday saying it was FINALLY ready, but yet my starter was going out and they wanted to know if they wanted me to have them fix it. I obliged, ""No."" And thought to myself, that has nothing to do with the issue I was having, so am now having thoughts there was tamperment to my car that was being done. Furthermore, I picked my car up yesterday, 12/15/2010, and at that point I thought it was fine, until today that is. I noticed yet again, my taillights/ brakelights and now amber lights, as well as my dash board lights were not working. Angry I paid these Dumba&@es already, I marched my happy butt to their shop with my girlfriend and demanded my money back. I was laughed at and demanded to leave their property. In conclusion, it took the Westfield Police Department to come and try to help us resolve the issue. And after all was said and done, and them barricading themselves in their garage because THEY KNEW they had done wrong, 1 of the officers came out with 3/4 of the money we had given them. Overall, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MUFFLERS & MORE. THEY ARE TOTAL RIPOFFS, HALF @SS THEIR JOBS, UNTRUSTWORTHY, RUDE AND A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISITS. I have since contacted the BBB and wrote a complaint, and in hopes of Call 6 For help to contact me, as well. Read the other insights PLEASE, and we have also been told by others,""BUYER BEWARE!"" Now we know. Let me ask you this: Would you trust a mechanic after three atempts and them telling you to take it to another repair shop after you paid them, I wouldn't!!! THEY DON'T EVEN DESERVE THAT STAR, I HAD TO PUT 1 STAR JUST TO PUBLISH THIS!!
