Do you have a wooden chair that needs a good fixing so that you can sit in it again? Maybe the chair needs a caning job so that you can lean back and not worry about it ripping? This place specializes in many repairs so that you can have that piece of furniture back to working condition. Neal has worked on different antiques and can fix everything that comes to his shop. In 22 years’ time, you can guarantee that he has a lot of experience fixing things. He even repaired/restored one of the original carousel horses from Coney Island! Another antique he has repaired is this old German music box. When it was repaired it was back to functioning and producing sweet sounds for whichever room it was in!
Neal can repair and refurbish just about anything that goes into his shop. Whether it be metal or wood he will do his best to work on it. He never knows what will come into his shop so give him a challenge and see what he can do! He mainly fixes chairs, paintings, guitars, pianos, seats but they aren’t ordinary items. These items are usually antiques, family heirlooms that date back from the late 1800s! Neal may do repairs but he values the caning/wickering service to be his best service. There are no other restoration shops in Carlsbad that offers this service. Other furniture repair shops usually send those items in need of a caning/wickering to Neal.
Byrnes Company also does custom made furniture. Guests can come to Neal with their design in mind and he will create it in his shop. He showed me some of his finished works and I have got to say that they are priceless interior items!
