First off, no Benefits, witch wouldn?t be so horrible if there pay rate was decent.\r
There average rate is 6.50-7.00! Who does security for that low??? Of course with the minimum wage increase the might of raised it to 7.50?.. But then again, why risk your life for minimum wage.\r
Secondly, as soon as I went armed and started making a whopping $10.00!! They cut my hours in half, oh, but its ok because they do this thing where you can volunteer to work 7 days a week and on your day off work all night and the next day (like 20 hours) to make it up ?. Does this make sense to anyone??? And if you refuse to work on your day off then they call you constantly wanting you to cover for other guards who wer smart enough to quit.\r
And they say you have to wait a year before you can take any vacation days, but when you work non-stop all year and you want to take a vacation, they refuse you any time off, because ?we have more accounts than guards?? and if you go anyway they?ll try to write you up. No wonder they have one of the highest turnover rates.\r
Needless to say working here is not a positive experience.\r
\r
And for those thinking about hiring ISM, well all I have to say is the guards are either all extremely old and usually retired from somewhere else or young guys who don?t take the job seriously. I don?t know how many times I?ve come onto post and found the guard passed out asleep, young and old alike.
Pros: Thumbs down
Cons: bad customer service, guards dont do their jobs.
