I went in to buy a gun, found the one I wanted but the background check was delayed. The delay wasn't a problem so I paid in full and was going to wait for the back check to be approved. Then I went to Cabelas and found the same gun for $150 less! When I went back to Hebert Guns the same day to get a refund they wanted to charge me a 25% charge for ""lay away"" this was over $100 they wanted to keep just because. I paid in full so there should not be ""lay away"" on a gun I have already bought but never even held.
This is a BS move and I can see why the chains are beating them. The only why a local store can survive the chains to to be good to their customers and Hebert Guns does not do that.
They have lost my business for good.
