The school run by Sifu Scott Shields is a great place to learn a variety of martial arts. I have trained here for three years in JKD, Kali and Muay Thai and only wish I had found SSMAA earlier. Sifu Shields in an unbelievable teacher, and his broad background in multiple arts allow him to bridge the gap between real fighting and sports competitions. His commitment to martial arts is evident in his teaching, and he points out the critical nuances that are so important in making a technique work. When I was (much) younger, I had the opportunity to attend wrestling camps conducted by US Olympic Wrestlers. I have not experienced that level of instruction in years, until I started to train at SSMAA. Disregard the reviewers who have second guessed the BJJ credentials and come in and see for yourself.
