I enrolled my son at Holdheide for pre-k. I had reviewed the state curriculum and was less than impressed. When I learned that GA Pre-K classes could have over 30 students with just 1 teacher, I knew I needed a better program for my son. I have found exactly that at Holdheide. There are 15 kids in his class and two teachers. The kids do a variety of lessons every day that they learn from and have fun with. Best of all, when I pick him up at the end of the day my son gives me a laundry list of what he learned. He's never done that before. He is learning to read now and gets excited about sounding out new words -- a skill he never would have learned in GA Pre-k. Other great things about Holdheide: the kids don't sleep on the floor. They each have their own little trundle bed. The food is fresh cooked every day. The meals are balanced and the cook uses organic ingredients. The playground has a cooling system so the kids can play outside even when it's hot out. Best of all, the teachers and staff love the kids. You can see it when you walk in. They are all dedicated to their work and to each child. The owner, Tammy, is constantly researching and looking for the best way to teach the children and even brings in extra programs like dance, taekwondo, music and Spanish. Holdheide is a great choice!
