As a stranger visiting from out of state, I can honestly say this was surely one of the highlights of my trip. It certainly was the most relaxing part. The owner, a long time local of New Smyrna is warm and friendly, she makes you feel like you've been coming there for years. This quaint and truly one of a kind spa is nestled perfectly amongst the various locally owned shops and bistros of Flager Avenue. A small, modest beach town, New Smyrna is one of those rare examples of what happens when individualism and creativity is allowed to flourish. Left untouched by the rigidness and sterility of corporate america, everything about New Smyrna including Beaches Day Spa radiates poignancy and uniqueness. A trip to NSB is not complete without a walk down Flagler Avenue and I can't think of a better way to end it then with a massage at Beaches.
