Businiess name:  Golden China Restaurant

Review content:
The prior rave reviews are, unfortunately, shills. Relying on those reviews, I went to Golden China and sampled enough dishes to very disappointingly report that its food is fair at best. It was all edible, but that's it.\r \r The wonton soup was salty dishwater with hard, chewy, not at all tasty wonton. The ribs were actually good--if you like over the top sweet, greasy ribs. The shrimp with lobster sauce was poor: overcooked shrimp in a tasteless stew. My friend had a beef dish that was similarly tough and not particularly tasty.\r \r I won't go back there again. While it is true that there is not much in the way of great Chinese food in Hickory, this place can't be the best in town. I'm going to keep looking. \r \r
