Upon move out they will charge you unwarranted charges.\r

They charged us a carpet cleaning fee for carpet they are replacing and they charged us other bogus cleaning fees.\r

These practices are unethical and the girls in the front office seem so nice and helpful when you live there, you wouldn't expect them to carry-on such unethical practices on a daily basis.\r

They were no help and had outlandish excuses for the unjustified charges upon our move out.\r

With that said our time at Barrington Place wasn't terrible, but wasn't good.\r

Parking can get bad when the college (UCF) is in session.\r
\r
The maitenance guys are great.\r
\r
They always had the repairs done the same day and even would take our trash for us if they saw us walking it to our cars.\r
\r
The grounds keeping has fallen off completely.\r
\r
Nothing but weeds growing on all grassed areas and hornets nests everywhere.\r

Safety got a mid grade rating, because these apartments are so close to the highway, they are prone to burglaries (easy get away).\r

Lock your doors if your on the first floor and don't have valuables visible throgh windows.\r
\r
There were multiple burglaries while we lived there.\r

Like mentioned before, the front office staff we're great when we tenants, but they have no problems unethically charging you bogus charges when you move and try to rationalize them with BS excuses.\r

They kept raising the pet rent and don't fix up the apartments nice enough.\r
\r
We took photos of all the extensive damage to our apartment when we moved in and put in work requests for the essential repairs.\r

The carpet wasn't new, it was old dirty and falling apart.\r
\r
Instead of getting us new carpet, they patched it with different color carpet! And then charged us for it when we moved out.\r

They told us anything that can be covered with one coat of paint will not be charged, then charged us anyway.\r

Noise can also be an issue for first floor tenants.\r
\r
We could constantly hear our upstairs neighbors stomping around and even just talking in normal conversation.\r

These buildings are wood frame, in Florida! So, you can hear a lot.\r

You're better off at just staying away from any Equity Residential property period.\r
\r
I've been told by several people who have lived in equity properties that they're known for these rip-off move out charges.\r

This is just the first time we've experienced it.\r
\r
I assume some of the positive reviews and responses are planted here by the corporation (Equity Residential).\r

We're filing a report with the better business bureau.\r
