I had a a flute when I was younger that was in storage that I needed for my daughter to now use for school. What should have been a simple tune up and cleaning went so very wrong.\r

I brought the flute down for a cleaning on 8/8 and the tune up. I was quoted $149 and told that it would be back in about a week. Ok. So I get a call 2 days later saying it is done and to come pick it up. Great! So, I drive down there and ""whoops!"" they have some ""new people there"" ( as they called it ) who moved the ""to be done instruments to the ""done"" pile. How that happened I have no idea. A simple look in the box would have told them that it was not done, but I digress. So, after assuring me that they would compensate for my time and gas on my day off to truck down there, I left being told it would take another week.\r

TWO weeks goes by and no phone call. So, I call them and they say, ""yes, it is done. We don't know why anyone did not contact you but it is done."" ??? Oh, and then they start trying to talk me into one of their maintenance plans. Uh ok - you guys can't handle a simple tune up and fix but you want me to spend $200 so I can continue to deal with this incompetance for the next two years? That sounds likely...\r

So, we go to pick it up and guess what! They tuned it up but forgot to clean it. OOPPS. I waited in line for 20 minutes before being waited on and when I got there there was not even so much as a ""sorry"" - he said that the tune up is ""much more"" and I said, I know - that is what we asked for and he said that they ""forgot to check the box on the service order."" Oh, and that compensation for my time and gas for round III at their store?? Yeah, never came. In fact they tried to sell me a cleaning kit for $17.95 that I can get on Ebay for $5 - and when I said that I did not want it the teller said ""well, it is the one your school wants you to use."" Are you kidding me?? These people are con artists. I would NEVER use them again.
