We chose Aimee's for a romantic dinner for 2. We made reservation, but when we arrived we weren't on the books. It didn't turn out to be a problem because they had a free table. We started off with a bottle of the rose from Provence and my wife ordered the beet salad while I had the calamari. The beet salad was perfectly balanced between the bite of the goat cheese and creme fraiche and the sweet earthiness of the beets. There was honey and walnuts around the edge of the plate which completed this fantastic entree. The calamari was crisp, light, perfectly cooked and was served with a spicy, garlicky Moroccan tomato sauce which once again was the perfect compliment.\r

For the main course we opted for the traditional bouillabaisse and I took the daily special filet mignon. The bouillabaisse was full of fresh seafood in a savory broth and was served with two small toasts with garlic rouix to dip into the soup. We asked the waiter's recommendation for wine and he brought a delicious French white. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, topped with mashed potatoes and garnish with a dark, savory sauce drizzled around the edge of the plate.\r

Everything was well presented and delicious. Our kind waiter brought some dessert wine for dessert as we were too stuffed to attempt anything on the dessert tray (even though they all looked tempting). The prices were moderately high, but at the end of the meal I felt like I had got what I paid for. The inside of the restaurant is a bit cramped, but the great food and the accordion player in the corner provided a welcomed, if not a bit cliche, escape to the streets of Paris. We would recommend this place for a special night out.\r
Pros: Food, Knowledgeable wait staff
Cons: Price, Crowded inside
