I'm not sure why I keep going back, especially when I have to really convince my Dr. to give me yet another referral! I guess because the office is 5 min. away is a plus and maybe I hope that the next visit will be better than the last.\r I have to say, I only go about once a year but when I do, I do NOT see Dr. Silverton. A nurse will ask you why you're there and when a Dr. comes in, he asks a few quick questions, runs out to grab some supplies and comes back in and does the procedure. This whole process takes maybe 3 minutes! He then leaves the room, and you're thinking he's coming back, but a nurse comes in and says you're good to go. \r On my last visit (this past July) I had some little bumps on my forehead that needed to be zapped. The Dr. did not clean off my forehead, lay me back, use a good light, he just zapped at the ones he wanted to do and now I'm returning to have the rest done. Why he couldn't have taken the time to make sure he got all the areas, I have no clue. Each time I go, it costs me another co-pay too. Since referrals are hard to come by, I asked about a spot on the back of my leg and he looked at it, gave it a name, and said he'd freeze it off. Well, the ""spot"" is more of a bump that I can feel under the skin. Had he felt that, maybe he would have done something differently. I was also blown away when the nurse came in to send me on my way, but said the Dr. said I wanted info on Latisse (sp?). This is the expensive stuff you put on your eyelids forever to have longer eyelashes. Once you stop, they go short again. I NEVER asked about this! So while the Dr. was zapping spots on my forehead he must have noticed I don't have long eyelashes and decided maybe I'd fall for this treatment. Nope! \r I have an appointment for next week and this time I'm going to go in and let the Dr. know I want him to really look at my skin and take care of EVERYTHING that he should have done the last time. And once again, I'll have a co-pay. I don't think I'll go back if I have any problems in the future. It's time to go where I feel I'm a person and not a number going through a revolving door.
