Review content:
I, like the previous reviewer, joined CitySearch just to write this review. Last night I hailed a car from Downtown Brooklyn to take me to my apartment in Clinton Hill -- a ride I do often and is consistently $10 no matter which service I use. When I get into the car, the driver calls his dispatcher and tells him where he is taking me, and that's the end of the story ... until we get to my apartment. He tells me it is $14. Now, I'm not so cheap to argue over $4, but I know that this is a jacked up price, and I'm wondering why. So he calls his dispatcher again and puts it on speaker, so I can hear. His dispatcher says ""You picked up the wrong customer."" (Apparently my driver was downtown looking for a specific person.) Whoever he was SUPPOSED to pick up was in for a $14 car ride, and even though I was not her, I was for some reason supposed to pay her fee. So then the driver tells me, ""You got in the wrong car."" As if this were my fault, even though I clearly and immediately told him where I was going as soon as I got in the car. We argue for a bit, and he refuses to understand any logic in this situation, simply repeating, ""YOU GOT IN THE WRONG CAR! YOU GOT IN THE WRONG CAR!"" During this conversation, I closed my wallet just to keep it safe. He took this as a sign of me not intending to pay at all, so he locked the doors and yelled ""I'LL TAKE YOU BACK! I'M TAKING YOU BACK!"" And starts driving down the street. At this point, I'm screaming at him, telling me to ""let me out of the f*cking car or I'm going to call the cops,"" and the dispatcher comes on the phone (apparently he was listening the whole time?) and says ""Ma'am, pay the driver $10 and please get out of the car,"" which is exactly what I did. The driver then gets out of the car, and continues to yell, ""You know who I am? B!tch!"" This is the first time I ever used Heights Limo, and it will definitely be the last. I'd rather walk home from the Bronx than get in another one of these cars. Cons: aggressive, threatening drivers
