Review content:
Brought my Rolex watch to a local jewelry store ( I won’t name the store, I don’t want to get the sale person in trouble, they have many stores in San Diego) the sale person told me that I have a choice of sending my watch to Rolex factory or their local watchmaker for service, the price different would be $550 from Rolex and $400.00 from the local watch guy, it takes 6 weeks versus 3 weeks respectively, thinking in my head only $150.00 more from Rolex and have it done right, I decided to send my watch to Rolex, the story of my watch would end there, right? No, a few days later I got a call from the sale person, Rolex wanted to charge me $1100.00 to service my watch for various reason, I was not happy with the outrageous quote and to make the long story short ……………... I told the sale person to cancel the repair and get my watch back for me. I went in to pick up my watch and told the sale person that I am not very happy with the estimate from Rolex and wanted to know where the local watchmaker is located (I am very good with getting information from people) and it turned out to be D’s Time Service, I came in and see Tom @ D’s Time Service and get a same quote from him for the same job that would be done by Rolex for $300. Two weeks later I came to pick my watch from Tom, it’s just like brand new, it also keeps perfect time, I am very happy with the repair job and recommend this place for watch repair, he also repairs Breitling, Tag-Heuer, Omega, Co-axial , and restoration of old watches.
