Review content:
I took my parents out to dinner at Speakeasy for their 41st wedding anniversary. I live in Madison and they live in Elkhorn, so we met in the middle. This anniversary was an especially sensitive one, because they lost their son this year. I wanted to make sure we celebrated their wonderful marriage and arranged this dinner to do so. Unfortunately, it was an incredibly disappointing experience. \r \r First, the temperature in the restaurant is freezing. We were very uncomfortable. I understand it's an old building, but I never imagined it would be so uncomfortable.\r \r The food was beyond a disappointment. We all had the cream of asparagus and mushroom soup. This soup was bland and had little texture. Very runny for a cream soup. Honestly, I've had better soup out of a Campbell's can.\r \r My dad and I had the white haddock over Guinness Risotto. To me, this entree' was not even edible. The risotto was so overwhelmed by the gooiness that it was bitter. Not to mention, the meal its self is extremely unappetizing looking. No color to it at all. I couldn't even force myself to finish the meal. My boyfriend had the salmon and said it was overcooked and extremely dry. Also, the bake potato wasn't even cooked all the way through. \r \r To top it off, about 15 minutes after we finished the meal, I started feeling sick to my stomach. We had planned to hang out with my parents and go out for a few drinks, but I couldn't do it. We had to head back to Madison after dinner. I had an upset stomach and a headache for the next two days. Coincidence? \r \r I wrote to Speakeasy and told them of my experience weeks ago. I figured I would give them the opportunity to reply before I posted this review. I never heard back from them. They obviously don
