Review content:
I had a traumatic hand injury and surgery in LA and saw hand therapists there. I tried to pick up my occupational therapy after a few weeks at SB Hand Therapy, but (compared to California Hand Therapy in LA) the therapist was terrible. She used topical steroids which my surgeon later said was absolutely not what should be done. Her ""knowledge"" seemed to have come from reading Wikipedia right before my appointment.
I was overcharged, asked to pay BEFORE even receiving services, then reimbursed after my insurance had paid them. It was unusual and unprofessional.
The receptionist was incredibly rude. The woman in charge of billing was much better.
Pros: as far as I know, the only hand therapist in SB
Cons: VERY rude staff, inexperienced therapist, unprofessional
