Pretty much what the John Richard crew has done from day 1. Throw out a bunch of stories, create a past that includes stories of time spent in Boston and other major cities and just wait it out.
At the end of the day, the work isn't bad, assuming you get one of the owners on a good day. Every now and then one of their stylists will come through with a job well done. Beyond that, it's pretty much all smoke and mirrors. If you want a big city caliber hair cut and color, take a drive to Boston, throw down some money on Newbury street.
If you want a job that will surpass many local salons and mall chains, Jon Richard is a great choice. The customer service will be lacking, there will be stories of grandeur, but hey it is Rhode Island
